Sridharan and M. Yamuna, had been the motivation for many researchers and so many papers have been written as a result of deep and vast study of excellent graphs. [2] deals with a new type of excellence, namely hop excellence, based on hop domination closely related with distance-2 domination. A graph G is said to be hop excellent if every vertex belongs to a minimal hop domination set of G. This paper aims to study hop excellence of paths.
P. Getchial Pon Packiavathi, S. Balamurugan, R. B. Hence it is treated as one of the important applications in the field of social network analysis. Community detection plays an important role in a large community graph by enabling and selecting the desired community’s sub-graph. This chapter proposes an algorithm that detects and extracts the desired sub-community graph from a compressed community graph for further analysis purposes. It presents both theoretical and experimental results with three benchmark social networks.
Bapuji Rao, Sarojananda Mishra ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://stm1.bookpi.org/index.php/etert-v6/article/view/1674 Thu, 09 Jul 2020 00:00:00 +0000 An Instructional Model of ASEAN Cross Cultural Learning of CLMV Students in Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University: Detailed Study https://stm1.bookpi.org/index.php/etert-v6/article/view/1675
The purpose of this research article was to develop and assess the quality of the instructional model of ASEAN cross cultural learning of CLMV students in Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. Multiphase mixed methods research applying quantitative research to extend qualitative results was used for research design. The qualitative target group was selected using purposive sampling whereas the quantitative sampling group was used two-stage random sampling. Interview guideline and questionnaires were used for measurement design. Qualitative data were classified and analyzed using content analysis and analytic induction. Quantitative data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and the developed model was validated by using LISREL program. Results showed that the instructional model of ASEAN cross cultural learning relating to consequent factors leading to a happy coexistence included 5 components as the following: 1) ASEAN cross cultural learning management; 2) components of ASEAN cross cultural learning; 3) ASEAN cross cultural learning process; 4) activities for cross cultural learning; and 5) coexistence with happiness following the principle of virtues for fraternal living (Saraniyadham). The developed model had its possibility, validity, appropriateness and benefit for the related students and instructors. The result of quantitative quality assessment for creating a generalizability model by validating the consistency between structural equation model of the instructional model of ASEAN cross cultural learning developed from qualitative research and the model developed from the relation between components and variables of the instructional model of ASEAN cross cultural learning were both well coherent and fit with the empirical data (Chi-square=140.33, df=116, p=0.062, GFI=0.98, AGFI=0.95, RMR=0.023). It, thus, clearly showed that ASEAN cross cultural learning management, components of ASEAN cross cultural learning, ASEAN cross cultural learning process and activities for cross cultural learning were capable of promoting a happy coexistence.
Phra Theppavaramethi, Lampong Klomkul ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://stm1.bookpi.org/index.php/etert-v6/article/view/1675 Thu, 09 Jul 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Requirement Intensity Based Resource Provisioning for E-learning in Multi-Cloud to Avoid Vendor Lock-Ins: Brief Overview https://stm1.bookpi.org/index.php/etert-v6/article/view/1676
Resource allocation in cloud systems generally operates on the basis of the overall usage. Academic clouds usually have specific requirements corresponding to specific resources. This chapter presents a multi cloud resource provisioning model that operates on the basis of the intensity of the user requirements. Another major area being concentrated in the current study is the usage of e-Learning materials. These materials tend to contain information that relies on heavy bandwidth usage. Further, these materials are being accessed by external users from different geographical locations. Hence by using multiple deployment locations, access speed and usability could be improved and would also help in effective management of workload. This chapter presents an effective mechanism to enable cloud package selection specifically tuned to the needs of e-Learning users. Region based user clustering is performed and cluster based quality requirements are identified by this approach. These quality parameters are used as the baseline requirements to select appropriate packages from cloud vendors. Since the process is widespread and is across several geographical barriers, multi cloud based package selection is preferred over utilizing a single cloud provider to avoid vendor lock-ins.
C. Then, the design and analysis of all optical half adder based on two dimensional photonic crystals is presented. A half adder is a type of adder that performs the addition of numbers. The half adder is able to add two single binary digits and provide the output plus a carry value. The proposed half adder is designed using hexagonal lattice with the “X” shaped defect. The performance analysis of half adder is investigated for the combination such as A=1,B=0;A=0,B=1;A=1,B=1.The functional parameters of half adder such as normalized efficiency, bit rate, contrast ratio and the maximum delay time is calculated. The size of the proposed device is very small. Hence, it can be desirable for optical computing in future optical networks.
K. Rama Prabha, R. Arunkumar, S. Based on this consideration, we propose a novel adaptive fuzzy robust control (AFRC) algorithm for such systems. The AFRC effectively combines techniques of adaptive control and fuzzy control and it improves the performance by retaining the advantages of both methods. The linearizable part will be linearly parameterized with unknown but constant parameters, and the discontinuous-projection-based adaptive control law is used to compensate these parts. The Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy logic systems are used to approximate unknown nonlinearities. Robust control law ensures the robustness of closed-loop control system. A systematic design procedure of the AFRC algorithm by combining the back stepping technique and small-gain approach is presented. Then the closed-loop stability is studied by using small gain theorem and the result indicates that the closed-loop system is semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded.
Xingjian Wang ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://stm1.bookpi.org/index.php/etert-v6/article/view/1678 Thu, 09 Jul 2020 00:00:00 +0000 An Investigation to the Persistence Rate of Youth Unemployment in Nigeria https://stm1.bookpi.org/index.php/etert-v6/article/view/1679
The rising youth unemployment in Nigeria is indeed disturbing as engagements of unemployed youths in armed robbery, kidnapping, Boko Haram, prostitution and other related social ills in Nigerian society are attributed to high rate of unemployment. The stated involvement in crimes by the unemployed youths does not only constitute social problems to the entire society but obstructs the development of the country. The main objective of this paper is to examine causes of youth unemployment in Nigeria as it relates mostly to moral bankruptcy in public leadership. Secondary sources were being used as the data for this study and it sets its analysis in the context of the neoliberal theory. The results of this study revealed that youth unemployment is caused mainly by corruption among the public office holders that has led to the degrading nature of infrastructures, insecurity, and neglect of agriculture. This study therefore recommends among other things that Nigerian government ought to make its educational system self-reliance for the youths through the introduction of vocational and technical courses. Above all, Nigerian government should insist that its society has the enabling environment for business activities to thrive and that may as well accommodate investors and other businesses globally.
Galadima Gladstone Wayas, Sivapalan Selvadurai, Abd Hair Awang ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://stm1.bookpi.org/index.php/etert-v6/article/view/1679 Thu, 09 Jul 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Hybridized Swarm Optimization Classifiers with Ensemble Feature Ranking Techniques: Recent Study https://stm1.bookpi.org/index.php/etert-v6/article/view/1680
Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is a security support mechanism which has become an essential component of security infrastructure to detect attacks, identify and track the intruders. Intrusion Detection Systems are implemented in order to detect malicious activities and it functions behind the firewall, observing for patterns in network traffic that might indicate malicious action. The extreme development of the internet, the high occurrence of the threats over the internet has been the cause in recognizing the need for both IDS and firewall to help in securing a network. Currently many researchers have shown an increasing interest in intrusion detection based on data mining techniques and swarm intelligence techniques. Also, recent research focuses more on the hybridization of techniques to improve the performance of classifiers and it has become commonplace in IDSs which allows researchers to exploit the benefits of individual techniques and approaches. In intrusion detection, the quantity of data is huge that includes thousands of traffic records with number of various features. Selecting a subset of informative features can lead to improved classification accuracy. In this paper ensemble of feature ranking techniques are used to select the most relevant features that can represent the pattern of the network traffic. The efficiency of the presented method is validated on KDDCUP’99 dataset using hybrid swarm based classifier, Simplified Swarm Optimization (SSO) with Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). The performance of the proposed method is compared with the basic classifiers, SSO and hybridization of SSO with Support Vector Machine (SVM). It is shown that the hybridization of SSO with ACO using hybrid feature ranking method outperformed other algorithms and can be efficient in the detection of intrusive behaviour.
P. Amudha, S. By this technique parts or prototypes will be produced in less number for design verification, getting approval for actual production of product and as well as mould etc. Fused Deposition Modelling(FDM) is one of the additive manufacturing technology produced to parts in an additive manner. So far, several polymers like Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), polyamide, poly lactic acid (PLA) were used for parts production in this domain. During the course of process engineering polymers may undergo wear because of the processing conditions like pressurized material in let, temperature etc. Choosing correct polymer for such application is a very important aspect. In the paper a comparison between 3D printed poly lactic acid polymer specimens and Acrylonitrile Butadiene styrene specimens fabricated through FDM technique will be tested for evaluation of difference between its wear rate, frictional force and friction coefficient when printed with different printing orientations.
C. Relay assisted transmission is utilized as a mitigation tool in combating atmospheric turbulence occurring in the communication channels. The main aim is to minimize the outage probability and optimize relay locations for parallel and serial FSO relaying. In this paper we address the major limiting factor for links measuring more than a kilometer; the error rate performances is dismal and therefore relay assisted transmission is employed to combat this shortcoming. The focus of this study is on considering the channel model, which takes into account both path-loss and turbulence-induced fading. The locations of the relay are found out using different algorithms and then compared to find out the best optimized result
A. Jabeena, T.
